Well it was time to dump the factory oil in my dad's new GS430 and since the Mercedes dealership we went to didn't have any M1, they used their bulk Castrol SLX. I watched as the mechanic poured in the oil, expecting it to be green, but it was most definitely gold-colored. He confirmed that the oil used to have a green-sheen to it but, " it has been gold now for quite some time." So, as has been stated here on the board, this new gold GC/SLX likely meets newer specs and should be better overall than the previous generation GC and we can all relax... a little... until we see some UOA's ![[Wink]](images/icons/wink.gif)
