My twenty something daughter just picked up a 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport. She traded in a 2021 Elantra that she bought new that she owed 10K on and they gave her 16K. 67K miles and was in an accident about 18 months ago that caused 19K in damage. Anyways, she babysat in the past for the owner of the Honda dealership, so he took care of her on the price. I do all the maintenance on her cars. Anything I should know in advance on these new Accords? All I know it's the 2.0 engine. Any points will be greatly appreciated!!

See if there is an air filter for the hybrid battery that needs cleaning/inspected/replaced every so often. And school her not to block that area with crap in the car. Because the hybrid battery may be under the rear seat.
Wow, didn't think babysitting paid so well that you can buy a new Honda.
Because we all know young ladies have tons of crap laying around their car!! Lol!!

Earlier 1.5L engines had a problem with gasoline accumulating in the oil. They may have solved the problem by the '23 model year but I'd want to do an early oil change and check for fuel.
If there is a significant amount of fuel you'll want to do more frequent oil changes.

It's the 2.0 Hybrid, but will definitely keep an eye on the fuel dilution issue!

We bought our 2006 in Dec 2006 as a left over. My sister drove it for 2 weeks when she was here helping with my parents.
Patty went home to Gig Harbor, WA and made her husband buy her a new 2007.
I helped them get an RX450h 2 years ago and they gave me the perfect '07. I gave it to a friend who is now giving it to his daughter.
I helped another friend get a nice used 07 from the local MBZ dealer; he loved it but it was totaled in the parking lot where he works.

This car literally will not stop going! Wife was t-boned by a propane truck. Fixed. She ran into the rear of a semi tow truck. I replaced the radiator and zip tied everything else. Still running. 29-30mpg....
The Accord Hybrid is among the finest of this class of vehicle. Very reliable engine, no particular weak points.
Fuel dilution didn't seem to have been an issue with the 2.0.
I really liked the Accord Sport 2.0 with the 6 speed manual transmission. Nice looking, good acceleration, handles well. Good value even. But by the time I figured out they would no longer make them with a 6 speed I could only get a black one. And I don't want a black car. They look terrific when they're clean, but only when they're clean. And they'd never be clean around here. Too bad.
