Dana (Wix and Napa Gold)

anyone know if Dana has changed anything with their Wix and Napa Gold filters?

with recent auto industry failure, chap 7's and 11's, mergers, etc, etc, i dont really know for sure what Dana has done with either Wix or Napa parts. i'd have to go digging some for better info. as i know it right now both Wix and Napa Gold are still coming out of Dana, but this doesnt mean anything in terms of quality since they could have changed parts, plants, or even countries where they are made. i know there have been some recent exec changes at Dana, hopefully for the better.

i would like to see some new filter tests done on these filters.

Dana no longer is associated with Wix. Wix is now part of Affinity (makers of Raybestos). Affinity has let Wix do what they want to do and hasn't messed with any quality.
Napa buys their filters from Wix still. Napa drops the 1st number from the Wix line and uses that as their part number.
Affinity has owned Wix easily for 8 years if not more.
I still run across some Wix filter boxes with the Dana corp logo on them.
Wix is still made in Gastonia, NC.

is Affinia part of The Cypress Group? i do see that Dana sold stuff (Wix included) in 2004 to The Cypress Group, but that's just 5 years ago.
