I work at a dealership for a forlift brand which is starting to market their own branded oil. It is from the DA Lubricant Co. Their 10w-30 is API CI-4, CH-4, CG-4 SL. It is to be used in their gas/LP, and diesel engine forklifts, construction equipment. Now the price, dealer cost $1.17 qt. We also need to figure the shipping which is a skid price. Shipping should add about 15-20 cents a quart.

Other prices for this oil, 15w-40 Gal. $4.54, 5Gal pail AW Hyd.ISO 46 $17.41, ATF Dextron III $1.17 qt.

Any problems here?

It's only SL rated? Now that SN oils are coming could this be used in newer vehicles. I feel it can not be much of an oil at $1.17 a quart.

SL rated oils were approved for vehicles made before 2005 (or 2006?). I would have no problem using an SL rated oil if my vehicle was from that era.
I would use a conservative OCI of no more than 5K because many of these 'no name' oils just (barely) meet the spec.
