does anyone use a needle to lube these sealed boots? if so what is reccomended? I know when you put a new one in they specify a certain quantity of grease
If the boot is sound, don't mess with it. The proper amount of grease is still there.
There are many different types of grease on the market, a number of which might be suitable for CV joints. Mixing in an incompatible grease could cause oil separation or worse. When you do re-pack a CV joint, it is important to remove ALL the old grease first so there is no possibility of a compatibility issue with the new grease.
