Nissan Filter Made in China was bought 2 years ago
Used On: 2005 Nissan Quest 4AT (3.5L VQ35DE)
Oil Used: Castrol GTX 5W-30
Filter in service: 6370km/3957miles

Honda OEM A02 (Honeywell) was bought 1 year ago
Used On: 2007 Honda Accord V6 5AT (3.0L J30A5)
Oil Used: Motomaster F1 Syn 5W-20 (Close to FormulaShell Syn)
Filter in service: 8002km/4970miles
Oil-Life Meter Reading: 20%

I'm assuming that the big gash in the bottom of the A02 is where your cutting tool accidently snagged it? If so, they both look good to me. Thanks for the pictures.
 
The "Made in China" 9E000 I have cut open in the past had cardboard end caps.
 
Soobs: A02 was snagged by the the tool!

A02 was in service for 10 months
The carboard end caps still attached tightly
It has more pleads than Nissan OEM

Nissan OEM was in service for 7 months
People say the newer one is with cardboard end caps and nitrite ADBV
This one has metal end caps and silicone ADBV
 
this is why i don't care too much for oem oil filters. there is too much disparity between them all. sometimes they are well made, sometimes they are not.
