That's because anyone here knows the 14610 is the up-sized version of the 14612 and so they use the 14610 instead. You'll be impressed with the guts of the Ultra.

Is the Fram 7317 the cross ref of the Puro 14610?
Not everyone here knew! but now I do thanks. I don't think I would use it on the wrx as it would be to close to the exhaust manifold or so it looks. It would have plenty of room on the 350Z. But now I will look closer at the WRX clearance. Also the Fram XG6607 that specs for it was 1/2" shorter than the 14612 so I am also interested in what the upsized Fram Ultra number is since I actually lost some size following the spec.

Yes, it's the Fram #3600. I have used the #3600 in place of the #3614 many times. The #3600 is longer but, that's about all!
