I have a Mitsubishi Colt CZT, which is a turbo petrol car with a standard 150 HP. With the necessary modifications, this car will soon have around 230 HP.
However, I am wondering the following: on Facebook forums, you often read things like "put in 5W40," but on the official websites of Shell Lubematch, Kroon Oil, etc., they recommend 5W30 or even 15(!)W40.
Now my question is, is 5W40 fine for this? Initially, I was thinking of 0W40, but many people online, particularly on Facebook, advise against it.
Additionally, I have another question: I have found Shell Ultra 5W40 fully synthetic, and I plan to mix it halfway with Liqui Moly Ceratec. What is your opinion on this? I would also like to hear other recommendations from your specialists. I am a simple individual who finds motor oil very interesting but still has a lot to learn. Thanks in advance!
