Crown Vic custom paint and exhaust!

I know what you're thinking maybe this should've been posted somewhere else. I just thought it might get more notoriety here.

Was driving to work one morning on the highway and saw a panther burned to a crisp, the fire department was still there and it was still smoldering. Pretty sure that is the only way to actually send one to the junkyard, I see at least 3 or 4 every day here in the hood.
 
I suspect it's actually a pristine Crown Vic that someone has cleverly disguised with grey patches that look like undercoat, and brown patches that look like rust.

This way, no-one tries to steal it and there doesn't seem to be much point in vandalizing it either. If he had a few 'stick-on window crack decals' the look would be complete.
 
The Panther cars didn't have the white paint adhere well. I sold my 2007 for this very reason; it started to peel and I knew what was inevitable.
The other colors adhere better.
