As the title says. lol

Let us start with a classic
and we can go from there.

Format should be..

I suppose we can put our opinions etc before or after.

Really amazed by the Shinedown interpretation.

And, here's another one, just to start the thread off with variety:

The cover is better. (IMHO.)

Go!

So, turn the page is probably the more popular original and cover.
But this was more obscure original which makes the cover that much cooler. And just a better song in my opinion, but close.

This is a Russian cover band that makes songs that sound better than the originals.

I've always felt this one was great. I never really liked the original. Johnny Cash did a great job.

Pretty similar. I never really liked Black Sabbath and their version is just meh. But the Charles Bradley version - especially given how hard his life was and his relationship with his mother, made it his song.

The original was awesome and I like Blaze Foley, but I like John Prine a lot more.

Of course there's also this one

Cover: Guns N'Roses - "If I Don't Have You"

Original: The Skylines - "If I Don't Have You"

Original: The Beatles - "Live and Let Die"

Cover/Remake: Guns N'Roses - "Live And Let Die" (Track 3 off Use Your Illusion 1. That album was supposed to be released single but they made it two parts. Art by Mark Kostabi)

Leonid & Friends really hits them out of the park. They seem to focus on Chicago but their cover of EW&F's "September" is good too.

I'm not going to post links here because the images will likely run afoul of the forum guidelines, but if you search for the AV Club/GWAR they do some covers that have a different spin on them, but are decent in their own way.
