Cost Synthetic V Dino

I have an '05 Toyota Kluger V6 and an '05 Hyundai Getz 1.3 and wonder if it is worth Mobil 1 10w30 at Aud$80 for 5 litres compared to Havoline conventional 10w30 at Aud$25 for 5 litres? OCI 5000 kms for both and I drive gently and estimate around 10000 kms on each per annum.
I would value your opinions.

Roger i have a new Forester and am using Fuchs Titna CFX 10w30 atm.In my other car i use Amsoil 10w 40 because it is a dedicated lpg fuelled car. I've just done a drive in my Forester from Adelaide to Melbourne and return going via the Great Ocean road one way and am really impressed with the Fuchs oil as i got 13.6km/litre.

I'd go the Mobil 1 and change it every 10,000ks. If you want to save a bit of money, Shell Helix Ultra @ $45 for 5L is a cost effective synthetic.

Hear, hear, I wish the USA had gone metric decades ago, but it is too late for us now. ;-)

If we go metric commerce will have a blast at our expense. They will double motor oil prices because 1L is so much more than 1qt (0.946L) and our local Speedway (gas stations) will charge $3 per L instead of $3 per gallon as they do these days.

When the EU switch to the Euro currency many prices effectively doubled due to unscrupulous merchants taking advantage of consumers.

To try to answer Roger's question:
If it is the same Havoline we get here in the states and conditions aren't too severe, I would use the Havoline; especially with equal OCIs. Do used oil analysis to make sure everything is going well.
