Cost of "standard" naturally fermented loaf of bread at your local artisan bakery?

If I were younger and I had the money (start with the improbable part) - I would have have put the labor into a bread bakery
 
Bake yourself. You know what you get. Problem with me, I eat too much when I bake!
My wife got into making sourdough. Every week she makes a loaf or 2 and also cookies and other stuff with the sourdough "discard". I don't know a lot about it but the stuff is good. I think a local lady has a "homestead kitchen". and sell different varieties for anywhere between $8-14 a loaf. She does lots of specialty stuff though
