On a similar note, a 5W-30 viscosity is also a common choice and will not generate any problems.

There are plenty of Honda owners using HDEO 15W-40. That's why I don't understand the knock on using 10W-30 with Honda engines.

Why not use M1 5-20?

I have no problem using MoCraft 5-20 in my '01 GMarq in the South Texas heat.

Should be no problem for NJ.

Honda was not born yesterday.

Honda knows their stuff.

C'mon, it's freaking Honda!

Islandvic.... that's nice, but how old is your vehicle in miles?

As far as I can tell, the jury is still out on 200-300K vehicles in South Texas with no internal engine work using a 5W-20 with highway driving mixed in. I have-yet to read any UOAs here to either discount the oil or sing praise on it.

Please.... hang on to your ride & prove what you're boasting. Many of us here are first & last owners of our vehicles. A low mile (100K) comparison is fine.. just yearning for the real thing (2-300K).
