I have a relatively new Panasonic cordless phone. It uses 1.2V AAA NiMH batteries.
Lately it seems like the phone base keeps charging the batteries too much. I pulled them this morning and measured their voltage. They were at 1.45V each. Yet, when I put them back into the handset, it thinks that the batteries are only 66% (2/3rds) charged and when placed on the base, it continues to charge them.
What is a max safe voltage that 1.2V NiMH batteries can reach?
