I am trying to find out which shop(s) use a machine to Flush the cooling system. My Ford Explorer really needs a good cooling system flush to clear it out and at the same time i will probably change the old green coolant to either Prestones new all makes Long life Coolant or G-05. I have tried to do a search on here to see if there are certain types of shops or machines that people recommend over other types so i know I am useing the right type of machine flush but I have been unsucessful. Wish I had the time to do it myself, but between getting married this spring and a new house, i have no time, so I figured the next best thing would be to get it machine flushed. Can anyone tell me where to find a shop or certain type of machine to use. thanks for all the help

Coolant is the only thing that a fluch is worthwhile for.

The company that supplies our chemicals and coolant flush machine also comes in and recycles the old coolant. They run throuh filters more than once and add alot of chemicals to it. They assure me it is better than new. Ive tested ph on cars that had 30k on them and they need flushed again. I think the guy earlier is right about the ph not staying as good. I believe a premium flush would involve new antifreeze. I agree with above post also. If your trying to remove major debrie and rust from the system the flush machines of today wont get it(at least mine), they mainly just change the fluid completly.
Well, I see that you have no time, but if you did own a wet/dry shop vac, you could take the time to use it. It would create more than enough suction to remove the coolant in your system through the upper hose, while at the same time adding fresh distilled water through the rad cap opening.
This works very well.
