While changing the oil in my gf`s 07 Mustang (4.0 V6) I noticed it had a tiny coolant leak (looked like it`d leaked, dried, and stopped leaking) coming from the thermostat housing. The reservoir was also low. I have a jug of conventional green antifreeze/coolant from when I did a drain/refill on my 300ZX. Can I top off her Mustang with the green stuff,or does it have a Ford specific coolant I need to buy?

The most common point of leakage on that is the t-stat housing. We replace the upper and lower housings, t-stat, sensors, and the bypass hose to the water pump. Its a plastic housing and it will all warp and crack once you start taking it apart.

Yep,that`s exactly where it`s leaking.
