Yep. GM used torsion bars for front and rear coils for rear. Definitely trying new things across all manufacturers.

Grandfather had a Studebaker car with same front grill . Was very young at the time . I think it had a hole in driver side floor board .

The Jeep pickup looks like somebody sawed the front off a standard pickup. I don’t ever remember ever seeing a Studebaker pickup, either.

My FIL has a 1949 Studebaker pickup purchased new by his grandfather. I’ll see if I can dig up a pic.

I don’t love the LED tail lamps but otherwise it’s a cool old truck and pretty neat that it’s been in the family for 73 years. 2A20CA72-0DF9-4A5F-ACA2-4B8D23D751F3.jpeg36577784-D73F-48CE-AA0F-8530A5C7D92E.jpeg950C2E9C-AF83-41BD-B5D5-45A931417384.jpegBBAE184C-48F3-4FC0-8E92-519B918F8104.jpegAF65F7A6-19D1-43A8-AA5A-7965A67BF1F2.jpeg
