Consumer Reports on sludge

Latest CR rag has story on sludge prone engines. In short they name a few makes models and years that seem to be prone. Advise (right or wrong) is to run "api synthetic" oil and use the "severe" OCI recommended in the manual.

Hate to say this but this has been posted probably 3 or 4 times already.. Run a search for consumer reports sludge and you will see.
