Consumer Reports Errors with Netbook Reviews

I saw this today, and thought I should post this since many of us here do a lot of research before we buy something.

Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've seen them goof up on product reviews.

As if Consumer Reports was ever an expert on anything apart from stuff like kitchen appliances.

CR's expertise in electronics, high-tech gadgets, and automobiles is pitiful. They cater their reviews to a typical/historical CR reader and rate products based on criteria that many people don't care about when they buy such products.

The last thing you want is to trust consumer report on a notebook, and tires (unless you want the famous Falken Ziex 512).

Maybe BTOG people should start a new Consumer Reports type organization?

Everything would come out average. For every good report here there is someone else that hates it.
