Confusion on oil to use on BMW 328i 2010

My wife has the exact same car and I've been running Castrol 0w40 in it for a number of years now. This oil used to have the BMW LL01 certification on it, but the most recent batches of it no longer carry it, but I don't believe the formula of the oil has changed in any way, I just think that this certification is outdated now. Castrol 0w40 is a very good oil and you can run it with confidence, I know I am fully comfortable using it. If it were no longer available I'd have no problems running M1 0w40, it's also a very good oil.

Castrol Edge 5W-40 is still LL-01 approved if you're hung up on the specification.

Mann, Mahle, or Hengst filters.

Simple.

Exactly. Don't overthink this. And definitely don't buy off-brand cheap filter cartridges like some stingy wingnuts like to do.
