Compression Test Gauge for Honda Civic Si 1.6L

Looking for a compression test gauge that is accurate but reasonable in price.
Will be using it to check double check compression on my 1991 Honda Civic Si 1.6L (D16A6).

Own other cars that have high mileage so I would also like to check compression on those.


Any recommendation is greatly appreciated.

If you are just checking for general engine conditions, a leak down tester would be a more valuable tool.

Ive had a HF compression tester that matches exactly with the Snap On from across the street any time I question the numbers. 9 years old, used in my shop.

I have a number of OTC tools. That compression tester, a leak down tester, and a couple others. Zero complaints about the quality for the price.

May be I should have said they are good enough for the occasional use and they are. If you use it a lot repair parts and kits are what make the "tool truck" version better IMO.
