My timing belt service, which included thermostat and water pump change but excluded tensioner and pulleys and accessory belts, was about $600 total (parts + labor). Most of the new parts were OEM. Although my EJ motor is in a 2002 MY car, newer ones are unlikely very different. Good aftemarket alternatives to OEM parts are Gates. They have excellent kits with and without the w/p (cheaper than buying each part individually). Most of the parts are made by same manufacturers as OEM.
