You read my mind. That's what I was going to run. When I commuted from Butler to KC, 30 miles north of Nevada, I ran regular Mobil at 10-12k oci's. Only did 2 or 3 those so wasn't enough time to judge. Both cars have MP3 players entertainment shouldn't be a problem.. not sure on the books might put me to sleep!

Even when I did drive 8 hours a day at work driving otherwise didn't seem to bother me. I'd rather me outside than in.

Where do you drive to? Didn't think yours would be that long. My dad's is 30 miles but he drives from Nevada to Fort Scott.

7 miles each way, 14-miles round trip.

But I do it on a 50cc Scooter when the weather permits. Sometimes in less-than-permitting weather if I just really want to ride.

345 miles each way. nearly 700 round trip...

I used to commute to La Guardia airport in NYC, from Northern Vermont, but I only drove it twice a week...before giving that job up. Long before BITOG, I was into changing the oil on my old Volvo every 3K, which was every other week...I got pretty good at it, under 15 minutes...including clean up...

I was hardly a winner, it was insane...While I drove that number of miles (1500/week) for a few years, I would never, ever set myself up for that again...fatigue alone was a major risk factor and I've got quite a few weather/traffic horror stories. With the price of gas now, airline tickets are cheaper...and I can relax in the back while someone else drives...

I know a guy who commutes from Chesterton, IN, to Naperville, IL and back every day. Don't know what that comes out to in miles but those of you out this way can only imagine how long that drive can be with traffic.
