So many memories of smashing watermelons. RIP.

Saw him in person once. It was fantastic. He was the most entertaining and interesting chemical engineer ever.

Saw him many years ago probably 81 or 82. In an unlikely pairing he was the warm up for Kenny Rogers at the old Met Center in Bloomington, Mn.

I’m a big fan of humor. But Gallagher was always , and will go down as a second banana warm up act. And man, there’s no shame in that. First of all, one person’s humor is one person’s insult. To walk the line and be remembered after you’ve passed is a comedian’s dream. To each is own. Not everyone gets to the major leagues,, but so many others deserve it.
