I've never understood the attraction to this cartridge. In the FN pistol it might make some sense. But not in an AR platform gun, long or short. More expensive, harder to obtain ammo. And nowhere near the power of the 5.56 in an exact same size gun.
5.56 isn't ideal in sub 10 inch guns. These new guns look pretty cool.
Edit: It looks pretty easy to get sub $.40/rd 5.7 ammo. It's not crazy expensive vs 5.56.
