NOE is exciting. I once was in the side seat about 35 feet sideways (looking straight down) at two guys in a fishing boat on a cove we just flew into. They were looking up; the look on their faces was memorable. They probably say the same thing about my face too.
Fun Ride! The pilot was making a turn and wanted to be under tree top level when he made the turn. When we came out and resumed NOE at low level, the wheels on the Blackhawk were clipping the tree tops and it seemed like we were going 125 mph or so.
We had every seat in the back filled - it was a practice landing insertion. Was awesome!
