Cleaning road salt from vehicles

The undercarriage wash at a TFCW gets everything under there. It is a huge fan of water under high pressure. It gets everywhere a puddle splash would.

I learned not to wash my cars too often during winter. They are fully rustproofed so the corrosion point is moot and the car will get a nice coat of new salt almost immediately on a daily driven vehicle, so what's the point?

But the OP is from VA, and it's raining today. If he drove to work today the salt is gone.

It takes 2-3 good rain storms at least up here to truly wash the salt off the roads.
