Has anyone shot one of these in .44 magnum? On YT, there is an Australian fellow that really, really likes his. I'd guess there aren't that many of them because there are only a few reviews for the .44 mag. I have ZERO interest in the 45/410 version. In general, what is the opinion of Rossi/Taurus revolvers?

I have four revolvers... a Taurus, a S&W, and two Rugers. I would not buy another Taurus revolver, especially in a magnum caliber. In 44 mag, I'd go for a Ruger.

If you do your own reloads I would go with the Ruger Redhawk in Colt 45. You can load them anyway you like from .44 mag levels to nice easy target cowboy loads. You wont find a better built revolver than the Ruger Redhawk...they are tanks!

Thanks for the posts. I am interested in opinions of the Circuit Judge with the 18.5" barrel mounted as a revolver/carbine. Rossi/Taurus/ BrazTec et al seem to be either great or a disaster. My hope was to get some feedback from someone that has one. I am looking for the combination of shoulder-fired, pistol caliber, revolver reliable, and with proper loads;way more "thump" out of the longer tube. The lever-gun is good, but a revolver carbine should be way faster for the follow-up shots.

I don't know anything about the long gun revolver, but I have a Rossi .44 Mag snubby and while it has never lost time, it would not surprise me if it does or does not at some point.

Not that it gets shot a lot - 25 rounds of .44 Mag out of it and I'm done for awhile.

I don't know how much commonalty there is between the two models.
