Chrysler OLM reset question

Does anyone know if the Chrysler OLM reset procedure (ign on, accelerator pedal 3x, ign off) resets the OLM only when the 'Change Oil' message is displayed? or if you change your oil before the reminder comes on, will it reset the counter or will it only reset after the message displays?

In most new cars with OLM they all reset with the three times down on the pedal procedure.

Doesn't matter if the display is lit...

+1 unless they have a display with the % left etc. Newer GM OLM's can be reset on the dash. Most others are three pumps as mentioned.
