Chrysler 200 Air Bag light on OCM issue Occupant Classification Module

Anyone have any idea how to reset / kill the air bag light on a Chrysler 200? Code B223D00/ACTIVE OCM issue Occupant Classification Module ?

So we replaced the passenger seat with another OEM seat and now the light is on.

My scanner reads the VIN on the new OCM and it is giving me the VIN of the donor car and won't let me rewrite the VIN.

Why don't you swap the original module into the replacement seat? Modern cars don't take well to used modules that are vin specific.

I know right that would be nice but I don't the original seat and module anymore. There has to be a way to reprogram this one.

If this was a GM car, a service tech or manager would request an "as built" software change from the corporate division which would be loaded into the BCM. That would recognize the vin in the new module. 9 times out of 10 they wouldn't allow it because they want you to buy a new module.
