This came out of a recent oil change on 2017 Durango 3.6L engine. OLM was at 0%, guessing it had 9k or 10k miles on it. I think that’s roughly where the Durango OLM goes off at. Last change was done at the dealership I was told. Minimal waves if any noticed. Replaced with a Wix WL10010.

Looks pretty good. 10K is about the max recommended OCI for the Pentastar 3.6L. The OEM Mopar Filter is top quality.

I have used the WIX WL10010 before with decent results. Have to watch though on were it comes from. WIX has sourced these from a few different plants with some from China and some from Poland I recall. The China made ones had a body that was maybe a mm or so longer than OEM and may cause fitment issue.

We had so many issues with incorrect length aftermarket Pentastar oil filters, that all we stock now are the OEM filters. We buy they in enough bulk that the cost difference is negligible.

The Durango in this particular instance was my sister-in-law's and my brother couldn't get into the dealership as they are closed Saturday. I stock plenty of oil from sales & rebates so he was happy to just get it done for the cost of materials. I have Fram Ultra's and Wix on the shelf so I grabbed a Wix.

My Mopar filters look like yours after 9K miles in the wife's T&C. It will be interesting to see what the Wix does. I used a Wix once in her van and it had some wave to it when I removed it. It seemed like a good filter but I like the OEM's if I can get them.

Just my $0.02

Will be interesting to see when you remove the Wix filter on the next OCI to see if it's wavy. My Fram Ultra filters on the Caravan are wavy when they are removed.
