I haven't bought/used chrome polish since I was a kid and used it on my 10 speed bike. I bought a Harley Superglide with chrome spoke wheels and am wondering if I need to use an actual chrome polish or something else on the wheels. Would there be an advantage to chrome polish vs say Nufinish polish? I'm more concerned about protecting them from brake dust, than dirt or grime.

Get something like this, spray on, rinse off. You can reapply and wipe the tough areas if they're still dirty.

Then apply a sealant like this to keep them protected. Dust won't stick as easily. I like jet seal, a little really goes a long way. There are cheaper options though.

I have used multiple chrome polishes including nu finish. They all worked with very similar results. The chemical guys sealant recommended by Ryan looks really good
FLITZ and Turtle Wax Premium All Metal Polish cheaper)work well and leave behind corrosion inhibitors.
