Now I'm trying to determine if Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Ecenomy 0W-20 is better or worse at preventing sludge and cleaning away sludge compared to Amsoil OE 0W-20.

both will have great detergents and clean the engine, and both are high quality synthetic oils and are not going to sludge it up. almost all new engine oils conventional or synthetic prevent sludge as long as the additives are strong (I.E. the oil isnt ran longer than it should be) pick either, they are both great products, and companies.
