I don't know if I agree with this though.

Article looks about spot on to me. Im not sure i understand what you dont agree with. I can garantee that a new car will need a new battery after three years. It may be 15 but it is after three. If you dont agree with that statment then you are saying they dont last three years. most batteries these days will last 3 years.

Agreed, I can't argue with the original statement, but it is misleading.
