choose tire

If you need all-season tires that work in snow, and you're not using a separate set of tires for the winter, consider a 3-peak all-season. These will be better in snow than other all-season tires.

The Vredestein Quatrac 5 seems to be the only such tire offered in your size 215/65-15

A simple way to get a bit more winter performance out of any tire is to go a bit narrower, a 205/70R15 all season would do a bit better in slush and snow. The General Altimax RT43 is a good all season tire in the winter and comes in either size.

Just purchased 4 General Altimax 43 ( H ) . Used the 43s' for 1 winter and were fine . Still a winter tire believer and user . Been using them for 4 or 5 years with no issues . They also don't impact fuel economy that much . The H give you a little better handling than the T . T have slightly better grip than H . A toss up .

+1 on the TPMSF (three peak mountain snow-flake) rating. Only recently with new improvements in both the rubber compounding and the design of the improved design of sipes that provide winter traction but do not cause the tire to flex too much, have some all-season tires been made that qualify for this winter rating and are also good summer tires. If you want snow and ice traction that can be ran all year round look of that rating on an all-season.
