http://www.dailytech.com/US+Version+of+t...rticle23275.htm Huh. a 1.2L Engine. This should be interesting. I have to say I really like the cockpit design, pretty sharp looking. It has to be better than the Smartcar, but that isn't exactly difficult to do.

I like it. Cars like this and the Mazda 2 are what should be built - small hatches powered by 1.0-1.5L I-4's, and 5-speeds. No hybrids, no electric, no turbo's, no CVT's....just basic small 4-cylinder/5M/4A cars, like what was coming out in the 1980's - Chevy Sprint, Nissan Micra, Toyota Tercel...etc...

I like the Spark...but for the price/performance/utility differential I would definitely step up to the Sonic/Verano. And once you make that leap you're in Fiesta/2 price territory...it's a good time to be in the market for a small car imo. Lots of good choices out there.

if it is made in USA instead of Korea like the aveo, Im happy. Im sure there will be lots of griping, because you NEED 350 hp to be able to safely merge onto any highway onramp. But after a nice trip of about 300 miles total in my 81 240D, I know the reality - 67 hp will suffice in a 3000 lb car... thus 85 in this will be a rocket!

Definitely, I just saw add for the new Toyota Yaris and it looked sharp as well. I say it's about time NA got some decent choices when it comes to small cars and that the new offerings will change the "econo box" mentality associated with small cars, hopefully.

Yep, or more. Guess I'll start the gripe That or I could wait for the 105-130HP 'sport' version that really would be fun. Don't think I'll get the pink one though.

That interior looks great! I have to say, GM has really stepped up their interior game in their small cars. I want that touchscreen for my Cruze, darn it! Oh well, one less thing to break.

I liked my Yugo Zastava GV best of all my micro cars. And the engine didnt implode like the Toyota or Ford or Suzuki. You really cant beat FIAT Handling with a stick. Oh yeah....the communists made several improvements to that decadent Italian design. Really built on that reputation for reliability that FIAT had at the time.
