I am replacing a set of spark plugs on a 2013 Chevy Sonic 1.8L engine. I am not familiar with GM coils, so when I saw that the coils were kinda of worn looking I got concerned. Are these worn out? They have around 100K miles on them or is this "normal"? Any help is truly appreciate.

You broke them. Now you have to replace the coil pack - about $100. You still have the ends on the spark plugs. Remove everything and replace with a new coil pack. You could also but just the boots too if it is still firing ok.

I would NOT replace those until it throws a code or starts missing if they are OEM, They are better quality that anything aftermarket including the AC Delco sold on RA. Quality of parts nowadays is a 3/5 chance of failing...even "new" oem.
Edit, Gmboy said they are broke. Good luck finding quality replacements.

Follow-up: I replaced the coil with a new one from the parts store. It was running rough is why I dove in. I already had planned to change the plugs and had them on hand. The coil would not budge by hand, and had to use a small pry bar in the middle and lift on the end after disconnecting everything from it. I am wondering if it went bad or broke earlier. It definitely was not coming off by hand. Anyhow, this fixed the rough low RPM idle and slow acceleration. The two end plugs looked ok, but the two middle plugs were oily for sure and wet. Thank you everyone for the advice, it is truly appreciated!

Per my linked thread above, you might want to change our at least the valve-cover gasket, and possibly the valve cover.

The gasket gets brittle with age, allowing oil to pool in the spark-plug wells. Not sure if that's the cause of the oily plugs you're seeing.

Very good point -oil may have swelled up the boots causing this issue.
