Wondering if it would be worth putting in say...1 quart of chevron highmilage and 4 quarts of chevron supreme. Anybody ever do this with quakerstate or valvoline high mileage stuff or is it not recommended.
Chevron High Mile mix with Regular Supreme?

I don't think it would be worth the bother. You would dilute whatever benefit the high mileage oil offers. It might be worth throwing in one or two quarts of synthetic with the rest dino though. IMO anyway.
I have heard people talk about mixing some high milage and regular dino to allow for some seal swelling but not too much...
I gues that alternating regular and high milage OCIs would do about the same thing.
If you go with the mixing, maybe 40% High Milage and 60% regular dino???
I use 2 quarts Havoline Synthetic and 3 quarts Havoline dino. I get a good syn blend with 40% syn...
