Most of my vehicles are Ford 4.62v, 5.4 2v's and 5.3 GM LSX from 135K-250K miles

I live in a hot climate area so no need to worry about running thing 20W stuff lol

Would it be safe to run Chevron 400XLE 10W-30 diesel blend year round ?? Also have some STP ceramic oil additive if it helps any??

Found a GOOD DEAL on 15 (3 pk) cases of this DELO stuff lol

Yes; it's perfectly safe to run that lube in those engines. The Ford Mod 2v motors in particular have no care or concern whatsoever about what oil is used as long as it's of the appropriate API spec or better.
Thanks!!! My 20+ year old SUV with the 5.3 has 245K miles and im hearing either a bad lifter or piston slap so trying to run the "good stuff" in it before doing major overhaul later this year

I know the DELO is SN+ rated but gotta make sure cause dont want to get chewed out by my bi-polar mechanic for any type of engine issues related to the oil lol

Like @dnewton3 stated that product is safe to use & is a "fleet" type dual rated product & the additives are at a safe level. You could use it from here on out if you'd like to.

I used it a lot in my 97 Civic and wished I would have bought more of it but Walmart dropped it from their shelves and price has gone up but have found it on Amazon. I remember it was $12.xx per gallon but that's going back 10 yrs give or take, it was a steal even for back then. I experienced the lowest consumption while running that oil, even in my area you could use it year round and rarely gets down into the single digits.

Ya I got STUPIDDDDDD lucky!!!! a few months ago in Dallas and stumbled upon 2 stores that had them at $3 each gallon/$9+ tax for each case of 3 !! I checked ALLLLLL of DFW last few months and that was the last of it lol

I need to look at my receipts but I think I ended up with 22-25 (3-1 gallon) cases of it??? I remember my poor suburban was squatting down with that load 😵 🥴 Foolishly sold half of that not knowing how good of an oil it was but still have like 10 cases of it in my storage!!!😎(y)

I just exchanged the oil in my car, I had some Valvoline FS MaxLife 0w20 that I wanted to use and was headed into winter which was fine at the time but not so much for all this heat as of late. The oil had only about 1,600 miles and already used a quart so I topped it off with the same oil but 10w30 to help thicken it up. I extracted it through the dipstick tube and transferred it over to an empty but clean oil jug and saved it for top-off. The Delo XLE I used it mostly 2010-2016 when I was commuting back and forth to work which was about 80 miles per day or 380 miles or so each week but I have 2x Civic's and was able to split the miles but used the 99 more.

Currently running Valvoline R&P but thinking of ordering the XLE just to have on hand. I never get those special deals over here, AutoZone had them on sale a long time ago but none of the stores in my area had them for that. Personally I prefer Delo over Rotella and use the XLE 15w40 in our farm tractors.

Very similar to what you have, dad has 2006 F150 w/ 4.6 165k and I have 2004 GMC Sierra w/ 5.3 LM7 122k.

Walmart has the new XLE SB on sale; $40.38 for 3 gallons is cheap. Plus $4.00 Walmart Cash.

Delo is good stuff! I ran the old conventional 15w-40 15K miles in my Toyota 1.8 and the UOA was great. I just did a 20K interval with the XLE 15w-40 and it was still good. Blackstone said I could go 22K next time!

Its gonna be a coin flip for my 4.6/5.4 mod and GM 5.3 fleet on which winter oil to run?? ;)

Chevron Delo 400xle 10W30
Pennzoil Platinum 10W30
