Yes.

It varies from town to town, state to county, borough to nation, store to retail outlet, discount megamart to dollar store, parts store to farm supply store. The cheapest place will be where you find it. (Get a Sunday paper and look through the ads.)

I use Walmart when I need oil and filters and do not have time to wait for a sale. Advance or Autozone has good sale prices. If you have a Checkers or Kragen, many from the west coast buy the Chevron dino dirt cheap with rebate.

In SoCal its Chevron on sale with a rebate at Kragen and PepBoys sale with rebate oil. You can check the add for your area on either company's website. In NorCal this week its Shell at .89 qt rebate to .49 qt at Kragen.
