Enjoying shopping at new to me discount grocer LIDL. It takes some work to find quality items, and the "macro" selection of quality is limited.

Two "prime" graded steaks, caprese salad, and asparagus. All super easy to make, only needed the Weber for the cooking- so cleanup was a breeze. I imagine this meal was also low carb.

Steaks were big enough we split one and shares, froze the other. At under $22, a enjoyable Saturday night meal for two.

Making me hungry. Glad it is working out well for you; you know how to find the deals🇺🇸👍🇨🇦

You do a nice job. We used to have Aldi on the east coast, they never had prime that looked like that. Most was thin mush looking steaks.

Aldi is the LIDL brother I understand.

Been cooking budget steaks with my air fryer all summer, too darn hot to grill when its 96 degrees out.

Excellent work.

I miss eating caprese....
I worked in Sicily for a short time. My escort told me caprese salad is a easy way to tell how good/ measure a Italian restaurant. Ever since that day, when I order a caprese salad- that is typically a good predictor on how well the rest of the meal is. On the rare occasions I see onions in a caprese salad- I cringe........

Hard to find a more of a wonderful salad to eat than a caprese. So good, and so easy to prepare--- just have to get quality ingredients.

I am looking forward to learning more about air fryers in the near future.

Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord were owned by the brothers, no idea who runs them now.

LIDL came after Aldi and is their main competitor.
