How many times have you seen the Seven-Ups car chase?

LOL: I spent most of the late 70's and early 80's working on sludge-buckets just like these -and speaking with definitive authority, neither of those two sleds would have lasted 90 seconds in the real world. I gotta say though, it's one of my favorite chase scenes. I wonder how many vehicles they went through filming that?

What's your favorite chase scene?

Duel.

Duel was released on Blu-Ray a few years back; looks pretty good cleaned up.
My favorite was The Driver.
Anything by John Frankenheimer is good though.

By the way, it sounds to my ears like they borrowed that GT-40 sound from Bullitt when filming Roy Scheider's driving in the Seven Ups.

The Terminator 2 semi chase through the L.A. aqueduct was great too, some motorcycle action vs a semi..

I've seen the Seven-Ups at least 4 times. It's one of my favorites. Probably the only claim to fame for the Pontiac Ventura.

I always get a kick out of Bullitt. The Charger loses 5 wheel covers during the chase.

My favorite has always been the original Vanishing Point.

Honorable Mention: the original Gone In 60 Seconds.

This one is one of my favorites; all of the flipped air cleaner lids!

From everything I've heard about the slant 6 in his Valiant, it should have been able to run without coolant or oil!

The chase was epic. The rest of the movie, not quite so epic.

That was filmed in Long beach,Ca and the surrounding area with no script. Just a bunch of goons driving around down with no regard for public safety.
