Howdy, folks. Here's my situation:

I'm going to autocross my car in the next month or so, and I was tossing around the idea of changing the oil. The car in question is a 2003 Honda S2000. The oil that's currently in there is Mobil 1 EP 10w30 w/ LC20 and about 6ozs of VSOT with around 4000 miles on it. The car's got 41000 miles on it, and is just fresh out of a Auto-Rx treatment.

Whatcha think?

what exactly do you want to know? My car did just fine as a daily driver/2 driver car for 3 seasons with 4-5k OCIs with Syntec and Synpower. Autocrossing isn't all that hard on the car unless you make a mistake

The oil will probably have around 5k miles when I finally get it out there.

I'm just pondering over the two schools of thought that say the oil change after an Auto-Rx treatment helps rinse the engine (and the LC20 seems to help too); and the oil additive package doesn't completely activate until the oil has got 1000 miles or so.
