It has been almost 3 years since I changed the coolant, the overflow tank and some slime at the bottom, so I changed it out. The coolant that came out looked brand new, which I was happy about. I filled it with regular Zerex green, because thats what was in there. I drained the radiator and block, but didn't flush it, as when I peeked into the cooling system through the radiator cap with a flashlight, everything looked SPOTLESS. Anyhow, I was wondering how to tell if coolant is still good, is there a way other than just by looking at it to see if there is dirt or rust in it?
