I did a front brake job on my wifes' 2003 Lexus RX300 yesterday. The job went smoothly.

As I had the front tires off, I decided to change the 2 belts. The only way to access the belts is through an access panel in the passenger side wheel well.

The packaging on this car is super tight, and it took me about 1.5 hours to change the belts, due to the almost impossible access to the adjustment bolts.

This is about as bad as changing the oil filter.

My wifes is an 01 and I haven't changed the belts yet(low miles) but I have changed all the brakes/rotors(easy) . I'll keep this access cover in mind when changing the belts. Yes, the oil filter is the worst! And I can't immagine the fun I'll have when it's time for the timing belt and spark plugs.

I got an O3 Highlander and yes the oil filter location is horrible. I use an oversize filter which makes it easier to access from above while using a glove so I don't scald my wrist on the exhaust manifold.

Did the spark plugs recently, I'll just say forget about torquing the rear bank of spark plugs unless you feel like taking the intake manifold off.
