All of our Certified Oils have the appropriate approvals. And you're welcome to verify that. Our primary focus as a lubricant company is Heavy Duty and Industrial applications. Our heavy-duty oils are outstanding products, engineered with intention, and contain comprehensive add packs. I routinely double or triple my customer's current oil intervals (always verified by a regular oil analysis program) and incorporate PM practices that help our customers save long term dollars as well as short term dollars. I'm new to these forms, I'm a certified lubrication specialist and ill be honest I'm impressed with the level of discussion on here. I'm biased so I believe our oils to be of the highest quality. The majority of the posters on this forum seem to be highly educated individuals debating the finest details of the top grades of commercial oils. The reality is - not all high volume consumers are making these intelligent decisions. We help our customers into these markets and so much more.I find it amusing that their name is "Certified" oils, but as far as I can determine none of their oils have any certifications.
Why would anyone bother to go through the gymnastics and cost of obtaining these oils? For what demonstrated benefit?

Our 5w30 and light-duty oils are high-quality oils and do an outstanding job for our customer's light-duty fleets. But our bread and butter is in the heavy-duty market. If you're running our Spectra Xtreme 5w30 you're in excellent hands.
Additive said:When looking at an SAE Grade of 15w40 for example that refers to a viscosity of 15 at 100c and a winter (W) of 40.
Correct on both items.I'm somewhat concerned that a "Certified Lubrication Specialist" isn't familiar with SAE J300 per the other thread:
Which is completely wrong.
