Hi,

I'm interested in the topic of engine and gearbox oil additives but I have very limited knowledge of the subject. Thanks to all of you here, I've learned that chlorinated additive may be corrosive, that molybdene, graphite or PTFE particle may clog filters or oil galleries but now I'd like to learn more about ceramic additive.

Particulary I've heard about a ceramic additive for either engine oil or gearbox oil called Tecflow. This additive contains little particles of ceramic which are aimed at protecting engine parts and transmissions.

Do you have any knowledge of this kind of ceramic additives? What are the pros and cons of them? Is it risky to use them and why?

So much questions for oil professional like you

I can't answer your question, but I found a micro-ceramic engine oil and made a post about it a couple weeks ago.
