The results below are for a 6000 mile run on Castrol Syntec 5W-50. The air and oil filters are stock and Blackstone did the analysis.
My riding style is fairly relaxed with a typical ride being 100-200 miles out in the country at about 70 mph, and the occasional Italian tune-up.
For comparison I've included results for an earlier run on Mobil 1 15W-50.
I refilled with Shell Rotella synthetic and will check up on its performance after 3000 miles.

Good results with the longer run on Castrol. The only surprise was the low viscosity which does not seem to have had any effect on wear. Oil consumption was noticeably lower with the Castrol.code:
