So you took a mid-interval sample?

Interesting that the wear is not linear.

Magnesium must be left over from a prior oil, because the VOAs aren't showing any.

Thanks for sharing all this info (ie. VOA, UOA) Looks good. It is wierd with TBN's, The virgin showed 5.8, I thought for sure this must be a lousy oil, but after seeing how it held up I was surprised. Good Stuff!

I'm running this oil through to the factory 10K OCI, with another sample at 7500 miles and the last won at 10K (if the 7500 still looks OK). So, I'll have 4 samples within this 10K on this oil, and then I'm switching to the new Pennzoil Ultra 5W-40 to see how that compares. Lastly, I'll switch to the VW 504 Castrol SLX professional LL03 5W-30, to see how that compares to these 2 oils.
