Looking into trying Vavoline Maxlife 10w 30 or Castrol GTX High Mileage 10w 30 next OCI. Castrol for some reason doesn't show or will tell me NOACK for this oil. They show for Castrol GTX, Magnatec, etc...but not High Mileage. I called and they said they cannot tell. Anyone have any ideas?

This is old, but the PQIA tested the 5w30 several years ago and it had a NOACK of 13.3

They have not tested any Castrol 10w30 that I can find, I would however expect it to be significantly lower than the 5w30.

If it is the oil you want to use just use it, NOACK is generally low on most 10w30's.

Blenders have been really riding the NOACK spec in the past few years, wouldn't be surprised to see lower volatility on the newest formulas

Thanks. They post NOACK for their other 10w 30 accept High Mileage. Just was curious if anyone knew why. Have a great weekend.
